Nepal Police shot dead An Indain Most wanted smuggler

An Indian national along the Nepal- India border while the criminal was smuggling weapons from India shot dead by Nepal Police. The incident took place Saturday afternoon in Bishnupura village of Rupandehi district, 20 km south from Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The superintendent of police in Rupandhei district, Rajendra Dhakal has stated that the Indian national, Sur Raj, 30 was killed by the police while he was trying to flee from the Police.

Nepal police have increased the security for the  upcoming visits of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Lumbini on 28th of November and President Mahinda Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka Nov 25, a day ahead of the SAARC summit. The police have found two pistols and two motorcycles with Indian number plates. Rajendra Dhakal has stated to reporters that the police got a tip off that Raj and his gang were smuggling weapons from India through the border. The two Nepali nationals, Hafi Uhalla Musalman and Okil Musalman were also arrested. Three of them were on the most wanted list and the police has been monitoring their activities for a month.
